AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS

Season 2 (Game Schedules Attached below)

Tryout waivers are open! If you are interested in Girls Volleyball (6th, 7th or 8th Grade), please go to www.valleyal.org and fill out the Tryout Waiver Form

If you are interested in being on the wrestling team, please Enroll 

Tryout Waiver is open from 9/16 to 10/14 for Girls Volleyball
Enrollment for Wrestling is open from 9/16 to 10/31

Girls Volleyball Tryout information:

  • Tryouts begin on Monday, October 14th at 3:15pm to 5:00pm

  • Tryout Week: Monday 10/14 to Friday 10/18

  • Tryouts are scheduled for the entire week. However, coaches can have final teams by 10/16 or 10/17 based on the number of students trying out.

  • If the team is selected by the above dates, the remaining days become practice for the newly selected team.

  • Practices are 3:15pm to 5:00pm. (Coaches will let students know if they plan to go for the allowed 2 hour time limit and end at 5:15pm).

Please note that if a student is unable to attend every day of tryouts it can affect if they make the team as availability is a tryout criteria. 

Coaches will also ask all players trying out if they have any conflicts with practice should they make the team.  Coaches have the ability to select players that can attend all practices and games. 

Please note, this is not for 1 time appointments such as doctors appointments, but recurring conflicts such as missing every Tuesday for the entire season.
 

Volleybal

 

Wrestling:
 

Open to all students.
This is a non-cut sport. This means the student does not have to try out to be selected.

First Day of Practice:  Monday, October 7th.
Season Ends: Between 12/5 or 12/12. This depends on if the student qualifies for League Finals or County Finals.
Practices: Monday - Friday
Time: 3:15pm to 5:00pm (can go to 5:15 on the day before matches due to weigh-ins)

Season 1 

Sports begin on August, Monday 26th! The sports offered are the following:

  • 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Boys' Basketball
  • 6th-8th Grade Girls' Softball
  • 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Cross Country

Please head to www.valleyal.org and fill out a CUSD Tryout Form if your child wants to try out for Boys' basketball or Girls' Softball.

Cross Country is a no cut sport, and so they will need to enroll and they are on the team! To find the enroll link, click register now under the soccer ball picture on www.valleyal.org or click on the link provided: Cross Country Enrollment Link
